Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC)
conducted its following session headed by Mr. Mazahir Panahov on April
22, 2010.
Firstly, session minute dated on 15 March 2010 was approved.
Later, the Commission made amendments to some normative acts.
At the session, decision was adopted on making amendments in the
compositions of Nakhchivan city Con.EC # 4, Binagadi first Con.EC # 8,
Yasamal third Con.EC # 17, Gobustan-Khizi-Guba Con.EC # 50, Gusar
Con.EC # 51, Salyan-Neftchala Con.EC # 60, Imishli-Beylagan Con.EC #
80 and Khankendi Con.EC # 122.
At the session of the Commission, current issues were also considered.
At the session, representatives of National Democracy Institute (the USA),
the USA embassy and mass media also took part.

Central Election Commission has ended its monitorings
Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan has ended the monitoring of the activity of constituency election commissions. CEC has commenced the monitoring of the activity of constituency election commissions since April 5. For the conduct of the monitoring, 6 groups were established which consist of CEC members and the officials of the Commission Secretariat, these groups have conducted detailed inspections related with the execution of the duties of Con.ECs in the process of election, the state of financial-technical supply of Con.ECs and other related issues. The monitorings covered 125 constituency election commissions. At the present, investigations concerning the results of the monitorings are conducted at the CEC and the results will be valued at the CEC session.

Later, CEC adopted decision on making amendments in the compositions
of Binagadi first Con.EC # 8, Nasimi second Con.EC # 22, Khatai first
Con.EC # 33, Khatai second Con.EC # 34, Khatai fourth Con.EC # 36,
Salyan Con.EC # 59, Masalli city Con.EC # 70, Yardimli-Masalli Con.EC #
72, Imishli-Beylagan Con.EC # 80 and Khankendi Con.EC # 122.
At the session of the Commission, current issues were also considered.
At the session, representatives of OSCE Baku office, National Democracy
Institute (the USA) and mass media also took part.
