Elections of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 1993
Mr. Heydar Alirza oghlu Aliyev was elected the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the extraordinary elections of the President conducted on 3 October 1993. 97,6 percent of total number of voters included in voter lists participated in voting. 98,8 percent of voters voted for and 1,0 percent against Heydar Alirza oghhi Aliyev.

Public poll was conducted on the matter of expressing confidence in Mr. Abulfaz Eichibay, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 29 August 1993. 3.767.928 of4.097.367 citizens included in voter lists or 92,02 percent voted against confidence in Mr. Abulfaz Eichibay and 77.730 or 2,1 percent of voters expressed confidence in him.
