RULES
on providence with signature sheets for the collection of signatures in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan
Providing the candidate to presidency, his/her authorized representative, the authorized representative of political parties and blocks of political parties with signature sheets in order to collect signatures in support of the candidate by Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (hereafter referred to as CEC) shall commence sine the day of adopting the decision that approves the candidate nomination.
While providing the candidate, his/her authorized representative, authorized representatives of political parties and blocks of political parties with signature sheets, the upper right corner of each signature sheet shall be sealed by the stamp of the CEC.
Signature sheets shall be prepared in the form defined by Appendices 2 and 2 “A” made to the Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (hereafter referred to as Election Code).
When providing the candidate or the authorized representative with signature sheets, an act consisting of two copies shall be compiled (Appendice # 1 made to the Rules). The compiled act shall be approved by the seal of the CEC Secretariat after being signed by the candidate or the authorized representative, as well as the CEC Secretary.
The act on receiving signature sheets should contain surname, name, patronymic, position occupied of the candidate or the authorized representative, the number and format of the submitted signature sheets and other information.
After the compiled act being signed and sealed, its one copy shall be preserved at the General Department of CEC Secretariat, another one shall be submitted to the candidate or his/her authorized representative together with the submitted signature sheets.
