DECISION
of Central Election Commission
of the Republic of Azerbaijan

on the registration of Mr. Gulamhuseyn Surkhay oghlu Alibayli in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan appointed on October 15, 2008

Candidacy of Mr.Gulamhuseyn Surkhay oghlu Alibayli, nominated on his own initiative in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan to be conducted on October 15, 2008, was approved by Decision # 12/55 of the session by Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC), dated on August 16, 2008.
Signature sheets with voters’ signatures collected in the support of the nominated candidate and documents to be attached to them were submitted to the CEC for the registration of the candidate on September 5, 2008.
CEC conducted investigation related on this in period and case implied by legislation and determined bases for registering the nominated candidacy.
Pursuant to Article 60.1 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, within 10 days after receiving signature sheets and necessary documents for the registration of the candidate, relevant election commission shall adopt decision on the registration or refusal from registering the candidate.
Adopting the above-mentioned as a basis, pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Articles 19.4, 19.14, 28.2, 28.4, 53, 58-60 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan decides:

1.  Candidacy of Mr. Gulamhuseyn Surkhay oghlu Alibayli, nominated on his own initiative shall be registered as a candidate in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan appointed on October 15, 2008.

2. The decision shall be enforced since the day of its publication.
