DECISION
of Central Election Commission
of the Republic of Azerbaijan
on the text, format, number and rule for the preparation rules of ballot papers in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan appointed on October 15ç 2008
Pursuant to Articles 99.1-99.4 and 199 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, rules for preparation, text and format, number of ballot papers, requirements of preparing them shall be approved at latest 35 days prior to the voting day and prepared in relevant case under the observation of CEC representatives at least 10 days prior to the voting day providing that the number of the registered voter do not exceed 3 %.
Taking the above-mentioned as basis, pursuant to Articles 19.4, 19.14, 25.2.6, 25.2.11, 28.2, 28.4, 99 and 199 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, CEC decides:
1. The format and text of ballot papers, the upper left corner of which is cut and numbered one-by one and successively on relevant constituencies, having empty squares on the right to the information of the candidates, on the upper side having comment on its completion, on the upper right corner having place of stamp, on down left corner having cut line, as well as, indicating each registered candidate’s surname, name, patronymic, date of birth, main place of working or service (if not any, then type of activity), name of the entities which nominated them, short name of the political party to which registered candidate nominated by political parties (blocs of political parties) belongs, party affiliation on the request of the registered candidate himself nominated on his/her won initiative or directly by voters initiative groups related to Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan, appointed on October 15, 2008 shall be approved (the form shall be attached).
2. In total, 4.903.600 ballot papers shall be prepared at the press of the Apparatus of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the observation of 3 members of CEC based on CEC representation and the number of these ballot papers shall exceed 3% of the total number of voters registered on the republic according to the information for September 9, 2008.
3. The decision shall be enforced since the day of its publication.
