DECISION
of Central Election Commission
of the Republic of Azerbaijan

on the refusal from the registration of the approved candidacy of  Mr. Alimukhtar Dadash oghlu Akbarov in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan appointed on October 15, 2008

Candidacy of Mr. Alimukhtar Dadash oghlu Akbarov nominated on his own initiative in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan to be conducted on October 15, 2008, was approved by Decision # 9/37 of the session by Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CEC), dated on August 7, 2008.
The candidate returned signature sheets provided to him by the CEC in empty form without having collected any signature and did not provide accurate information on his property and income.
Pursuant to Article 60.1 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, within 10 days after receiving signature sheets and necessary documents for the registration of the candidate, relevant election commission shall adopt decision on the registration or refusal from registering the candidate.
Adopting the above-mentioned as a basis, pursuant to Articles 19.4, 19.14, 28.2, 28.4, 54, 58-60 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan decides:

1.  Candidacy of Mr. Alimukhtar Dadash oghlu Akbarov, nominated on his own initiativeshall be refused from being registered in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan appointed on October 15, 2008.

2. The decision shall be enforced since the day of its publication.
