DECISION
of Central Election Commission
of the Republic of Azerbaijan
on the termination of candidacies of Mr. Teymur Parviz oghlu Guliyev and Mr. Fikret Taghi oghlu Ahadov
Candidacies of Mr. Teymur Parviz oghlu Guliyev and Mr. Fikret Taghi oghlu Ahadov nominated on their own initiatives in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated on October 15, 2008 were approved by CEC decision #13/61dated on August 18, 2008 and Decision # 15/72 dated on August 23, 2008.
Candidates applied to the CEC with an application on terminating their candidacies on September 3, 2008.
CEC conducted relevant investigation in the case implied by legislation related on this and determined bases for the termination of candidacies of both two applicants.
Taking the above-mentioned as a basis, pursuant to Articles 19.4, 19.14, 28.2, 28.4 and 73 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, CEC decides:
1. Candidacies of Mr. Teymur Parviz oghlu Guliyev and Mr. Fikret Taghi oghlu Ahadov nominated on their own initiatives shall be terminated in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan to be conducted on October 15, 2008.
2. The decision shall be enforced since the day of its publication.
