DECISION
of Central Election Commission
of the Republic of Azerbaijan

on the approval of the candidacy of Mr. Mayis Gulali oghlu Gulaliyev

Mr. Mayis Gulali oghlu Gulaliyev nominated his candidacy by decision of the meeting of “Yashil siyaset” (“Green Policy”) Initiative Group dated on August 2, 2008 in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan to be conducted on October 15, 2008.
The documents for the approval of candidate nomination were submitted to the CEC by the authorized representative of the party on August 5, 2008.
CEC conducted investigation related to this in period and case defined by legislation and determined the bases for the approval of nominated candidacy.
Taking the above-mentioned as a basis, pursuant to Articles 56 and 100 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Articles 19.4, 19.14, 28.2, 28.4, 52 and 54 of Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, CEC decides:
1. Mr. Mayis Gulali oghlu Gulaliyev, nominated by “Yashil siyaset” (“Green Policy”) Initiative Group in Presidential Elections of the Republic of Azerbaijan appointed on  October 15, 2008 shall be approved.
2. The decision shall be enforced since the day of its publication.
